The Best Lemon Cookie Recipe🍋

These are the BEST lemon cookies I’ve ever made! They literally just melt in your mouth. I also had some amazing help while making them, so they were made with some extra love today.💕 My girlies are big fans too!🫶🏻

YOU NEED:

✨Cookies:

1 c butter, softened

1 c sugar

1 egg

Zest of 1 lemon

2 c flour

½ tsp baking powder

✨Glaze:

1 c powder sugar

2 tsp lemon juice

1 tsp milk

RECIPE:

1. Cream the butter and sugar together. Then mix in the egg until well combined. Stir in lemon zest.

2. Add 1/2 cup flour and baking powder, to the butter mixture and stir until combined. Continue adding flour by the 1/2 cup and mixing until completely mixed.

3. Roll the dough into 1 inch balls and slightly flatten with your palm and place on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper.

4. Bake at 375°F for 7-8 minutes or until the center is just cooked. The cookies will not get brown, they just lose the glossy look.

5. Let the cookies sit few minutes, then transfer them to a cooling rack. Make the icing by whisking the ingredients together and dip the cookie tops in.
