💡 Pet-friendly Staycation Review ✨

During the pandemic, I’ve been on a look out for staycation that is pet-friendly! There are actually plenty, but unfortunately, not all hotels are as pet-friendly as they claim to be. 😥

I’ve decided to book Sofitel Sentosa since my family loves enjoying beach day. I’m glad I made the choice because we had an absolute great time!

They have released a new FurKid Retreat Package that includes 2 human + 1 pet, breakfast + dinner! Let me share more in details ☺️

📍 Sofitel Singapore Sentosa

1️⃣ Concern as pet owners

• As most hotels have a weight restriction, I’m often being held back as my boy Kaito is 13kg. However, Sofitel Sentosa doesn’t have any! Which is great news to owners that have bigger pups. 😱

• There’s no limit as to how many pets are allowed! Additional pet is chargeable at SGD$ 88++ including an extra amenities basket.

• The whole hotel is pet-friendly where you can explore freely with your pets! Except for the pool area, to prevent pups from taking a dip 🏊

• There are plenty of grass patches around for your pets to do their business! So there’s no need to worry.

2️⃣ What’s in our pet amenities basket

I find the amenities provided are pretty sufficient, and has allowed me to bring lesser during my stay. I’ll share more on what I brought later in this post.

• Pet Bed — size is just nice for my boy at 13kg. Bigger dogs won’t be able to fit in!

• Pee Pad — a large size pee pad is provided. if you need more, just call room service 🛎️

• Poo Bag

• Foldable bowl — I used this for water, and brought my own for meals.

• Wet wipes

• Toy from Fuzzyard

• Small meals by Wellness / Stella & Chewy’s

• Dental chews by Whimzees

• Freeze dried treats

Some items that I brought myself:

• Daily meals — I brought frozen packed meals to thaw in fridge. Fill the basin with hot water to warm up the food before feeding.

• Bathing amenities — especially if you’re preparing for beach day!

3️⃣ Bath tub in every room

Forget about requesting for a room with bath tub because every room in Sofitel Sentosa have one! Enjoy a good bubble bath for yourself and your pet! They do provide small packs of bath salt for human, but I’d suggest getting a nice bath bomb to pamper yourself!

4️⃣ Pet-friendly outdoor dining

I guess I can say that Sofitel Sentosa is the first hotel to allow dogs in their dining area. I used to be worried about leaving Hana and Kaito in the room, that I rushed through my breakfast buffet just to go back room. Now there’s no worry, and we can slowly enjoy our meals!

For dinner, it’s ala carte with a variety of cuisine to choose from! Their Indian butter curry is amazing, do try! 🤤

5️⃣ 10 mins walk to Tanjong Beach

There’s a stairway linking from the pool area to Tanjong Beach. It’s pretty convenient if you don’t drive. We checked in early to do all the paperworks and head to the beach to enjoy our morning while waiting for our room!

6️⃣ Explore the hotel freely

I find morning strolls around the hotel the best time to explore. You might find peacocks roaming around! 🦚

The resort provides a fish spa where you can enjoy it for free! However, remember not to let your pet take a dip! 🤭

All in all, I find Sofitel Sentosa to be the most pet-friendly hotel. They’ve massively improved their service, and my family have enjoyed ourselves. If you’re planning for a staycation, do consider our recommendation! 🤗
