My ICKS as a first time mom 😵‍💫

1. Oh he's a flirt

Ehhhhhh no my 4 month's old son is not flirting with you girl, he is just being a baby. I can't stand when people say this, it gives me the biggest ickkkk like what do you mean he's a flirt 😭

2. "They're really cute at that age but just wait until he's a toddler he will drive you insane"

GOSH. These are the same people who used to tell us to enjoy "not having kids because you are free and you can do whatever you want", they are now telling us to enjoy "this infant stage because when they are toddlers it's different". Once baby is a toddler, they will probably tell me to enjoy the toddler stage because something else is coming (wait until he's a teenager!!!)

It's like you can NEVER just be happy in the stage you are, you always have to be fearing what's coming next!

3. People calling my son their "baby"

This one really bugs me and I don't have an explanation why. Per example, my MIL always say "oh my baby" while holding and cuddling my son. I mean it's cute but it's actually my baby lmao your baby is my husband 🤣
