3 Money Goals to Achieve in 2024 💰

2024 is the year for us to get our finances in shape and build a solid foundation for the future! Here are 3 goals everyone should shoot for:

1️⃣ Earn high interest via HYSA/CD

2024 is one of the BEST years for saving money. Why? Because it’s extremely rare to be in such a high interest rate environment where you get PAID $$$ to save money (5% interest hello!!!)

That said, if you are not using a HYSA or CD to save, you are seriously missing out on some good money! A one HYSA is a savings account that you can use to earn interest on your savings (by doing nothing) and CD’s are another type of savings accounts where the rate is even higher, but there is a term commitment so it’s not as easy to withdraw as a HYSA.

2️⃣ Build a large emergency fund

A small emergency fund (~$1,500) will cover small emergencies like car fixes, medical copays, etc. But a large emergency fund (3-6 months of expenses) will bail you out of any long term sticky situations like layoffs!

3️⃣ Set up sinking funds

A sinking fund is setting aside money for specific purposes like holiday gifts, travel, pets/babies, etc. I love sinking funds because they give your money a purpose and gives you specific goals to work towards.
