Let’s make chili together!

. I know y’all have been wanting more recipes, so let’s start with a fan favorite! 😋

. Grab your ingredients & let’s go. 💪🏼

. I used the below:

‘ Diced tomatoes

‘ Tomato sauce

‘ Kidney beans

‘ Chili ready tomatoes

‘ Tomato paste

‘ Pinto beans

‘ Beef Broth

‘ Ground beef

‘ Ground Chuck

‘ Green bell peppers

‘ Seasoning Blend

‘ Slap ya mama

‘ Garlic powder

‘ Lemon Pepper

‘ Creole Seasoning

‘ 2 packs of chili seasoning

Step 1:

Drain your kidney beans entirely. You can drain the pinto beans 3/4 of the amount. Pour the beef broth in the bottom of your pot or crockpot, enough to fill the bottom. Turn heat on medium low.

Add all canned items to your pot or crockpot. Stir.

Step 2:

Ground/Cook your ground beef & drain. Add in your green bell peppers to the ground beef & cook well. Add seasonings of your choice. When done, add to your pot mixture. Stir.

Step 3:

Ground/Cook your ground chuck & drain. Add in your seasoning blend veggies. If your skillet is not large enough, you can cook the ground chuck in sections & repeat the same cooking instructions. Add ground chuck mixture to the pot.

*The second batch of my ground chuck, i cooked longer to give more texture*

Step 4:

Add chili packets to pot with remaining ingredients, fill empty packet 1/2 with water & pour into pot. Stir.

Step 5:

Bring to a boil & stir. Once brought to a boil, return heat to low.

*Stir every 20-30 minutes to ensure everything is incorporated evenly & that it doesn’t burn on the bottom. If it seems too thick, add in small amounts of beef broth & stir.*

Step 6:

Allow to cook on low for 2-3 hours. Don’t forget to stir occasionally.

Step 7:

Once everything has cooked down, enjoy with your favorite toppings. You can always add more beans if you prefer. I added 2 more small cans of drained kidney beans.

My favorite toppings depending on my mood:

‘ Honey butter cornbread

‘ Frito’s scoops

‘ Green Onions

‘ Sour cream

‘ Colby shredded cheese

‘ Mild Jalapeños (you can also add the juice only)

‘ Chili Cheese Fritos

I hope you all enjoyed this recipe as much as I did creating it & feeding my family. Comment down below any questions or ways you cook your homemade chili for the colder months. 🥰
