F. Scott Fitzgerald (1896–1940) was an American novelist and short story writer. He is widely regarded as one of the greatest American writers of the 20th century. Fitzgerald is best known for his novel "The Great Gatsby," a classic exploration of the American Dream during the Jazz Age of the 1920s.
