Blood Orange Margarita

This twist on the classic margarita utilizes vibrant blood oranges to create a cocktail that’s as delicious as it is beautiful!

1. Spread a layer of flakey sea salt on a shallow plate. Run a lime wedge over the rim of two cocktail glasses, either coupe glasses or tallboys.

2. Then invert the glasses and dip the them in the salt to coat the inside and outside of the rims. Place in the refrigerator to chill.

3. Juice 2-3 blood oranges until you have roughly 6 ounces. Then, strain the juice through a colander to ensure it’s smooth and pulp-free.

4. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice, then add the orange juice, 4 ounces of chilled tequila, 2 ounces of lime juice, and 2 ounces of agave nectar.

5. Put the lid on the cocktail shaker and shake for 30 seconds. Strain into the two cocktails glasses and garnish with a blood orange slice. Then, enjoy!
