How I prepared and stayed organized for PA school

Hey guys!! I’m applying to PA school right now and I just wanted to share how I stayed organized the past couple of years preparing for PA school.

1) I bought GregMat+ which is a platform that’s $5 every month. It provides multiple study plans that you can pick from and there are videos and multiple practice sessions to do. It also provides you a long list of vocab words to learn. It has been super helpful for me to remind me of the math I don’t remember and that vocab to focus on.

2) I made a spreadsheet with all the information I need for each school so it can help me distinguish what I still need to do to apply or if i’m ready to apply. I shared it with my parents so they can see it easier as well.

3) I started working on my CASPA application a year before applying. It doesn’t erase your information in the supporting information and academic history and personal information when the new cycle comes around. The only thing you would need to resubmit is letter of recommendations if it was before the cycle so i would wait until you apply to get those but started figuring out who you will ask. It takes awhile to fill out all this information so I would start early along with your personal statement.

4) I made an excel sheet with my patient care hours, shadowing hours, and volunteer hours to keep track of everything to input it into CASPA later down the line. This helped organize everything and keep track of the hours I’ve gained over the years.
