I got married at 18 !!

Yes, you read that right.

I got married at 18 and it was the best decision I ever made however, it wasn’t what I expected.

Quick little timeline of our relationship…

I have known him since I was 5 ( he’s been best friends with my brother for forever)

We started “talking” in March of 2021.

started officially dating in June of 2021.

Got engaged in November of 2021.

And got married in February of 2022.

We did get married pretty quickly, but when you know you know.

Anyways, being married at 18 and having a husband that works a 9-5 can get super lonely. And I wasn’t sure what I was gonna do. I’ve always wanted to be a stay at home mom but we aren’t planning on having kids for a little bit. So I got

a job, thinking that was gonna fulfill my time. WRONG !! After a few months of realizing a job wasn’t going to make me feel better I decided to focus on why I really wanted to do. And how to find a community that will help.

Here’s a few things for my newly married girls who maybe dealing with what I was dealing with.

1. Find a trusting community ( I found this in my church)

2. Get involved with your community (I also did this at church by volunteering)

3. Spend time thinking and praying about what you truly want to do and not what you think you should do.

4. Talk to your husband about how you feel, and don’t feel guilty for feeling like it.

5. Not all your friends have to be couples find a few but you can have single friends.

6. If you have family share what you are going through ( they want to help you)

7. Find some new hobbies your normally wouldn’t try ( I thrifted and painted)
