in the second part of my #ThingsToDo in korea, i’ll be sharing more about another frequently visited spot in korea: busan! apart from its beautiful coasts (which i’ve shared about in a previous post), there’s so much more to do which makes busan a place i’ll keep coming back to ❤️

🐠 haedong yonggungsa temple

claiming to be the most beautiful temple in korea, i feel it definitely lives up to this title! located on a hill right next to the sea, it boasts an amazing sea-view that’s great for photo-taking! the temple itself is really big as well – so it’s definitely worth a trip down, at least once! the highlight of my visit was finding the god of studies – some luck just in time before my grades came out!

🐠 haeundae beach

another well-known beach in busan – but imo, the shopping street at the back is much more eventful! however, a must-do at haeundae beach is getting mochi ice-cream from horangi jellatteok and enjoying the beach views (but be careful of seagulls!) 🌊

🐠 BIFF square

visit BIFF square to get your shopping and street food fix! this is a great place to do some leisure shopping, walking, and eating – killing 3 birds with 1 stone! the iconic busan hotteok is also sold there, really easy to spot with the snaking queue!

🐠 gamcheon cultural village

can you say you’ve been to busan if you’ve never visited gamcheon cultural village? it’s another busan must-visit for the iconic view of the little colourful houses, super insta-worthy! 😉

🐠 jagalchi market

a trip to busan is not complete without trying some seafood, and jagalchi market is The Place to get your seafood fix! there’s SO MUCH seafood here you’ll definitely be spoilt for choice, and imo, way more worth coming here than seoul’s noryangjin market. try bargaining with the shop-owners for a lower price on the seafood though! this was something i found out i could do only after spending $$$ there 😖

🐠 cheongsapo - sumin’s

a hidden gem for seafood is sumin’s – a restaurant in cheongsapo! highly recommend to give this place a visit after a ride on the blue line capsule, as the ahjummas there were super friendly and also helped to cook the seafood for us! highly recco the seafood ramen, idk how they make it but it tastes super amazing, really can’t seem to find this same taste anywhere else 🤤

honestly, i can keep going on about busan because it’s really one of the places i loved so much – really no regrets spending near half my trip there! hope you find these reccos useful if you’re ever planning to go down while you’re in korea!
