BOOK REVIEW 📚🗣️ The Housemaid

This book has been aaaaalll the rage on BookTok, and rightfully so!

I’m a huge psych thriller fan, and Frieda McFadden has grown increasingly popular within the genre. This was the first book I read of hers. The novel was a page-turner, clocking in at 336 pages. The book has everything I’m looking for in a thriller: complex characters, a gripping storyline, elements of danger, and a shocking plot twist! I enjoyed the ending, and I thought many of the details were cohesive and well-written.

The story begins with the nearly homeless protagonist Millie desperately job hunting as an ex-felon. Her prospects are limited, and the opportunity of being the live-in housemaid for Nina and Andrew Winchester is her only option. Things go quickly awry, and Millie finds herself in grave danger.
