Here are some routines I built into my new work schedule:
1. Getting an Apple Watch βοΈ
- especially useful to track active calories (seem pretty accurate too)
- tasting small successes is important to maintain motivation levels
2. Fixing a gym schedule
- I need to go to the gym at least twice a week to be able to break even with the cost I paid per month.
- This forces me to squeeze out 2 x 45mins slot in my week for gym (and usually this 45 mins will extend because Iβm like since Iβm already here, letβs do more)
3. Social Exercising
- instead of eating out constantly, why not change things and exercise together! It is an alternative form of bonding and honestly, helps you set some goals for yourself while exercising
- eg I signed up for a 5km run, and because of it, Iβve been training for it more during that month.
4,5,6. Eating Healthy
- Eat foods with low GI (eg wholemeal, whole grain)! They make you feel fuller for a longer period of time, reducing hunger strikes
- Source for health options outside, and if unavailable, pack your own lunch
