1. Ingredients:
• 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
• 1 cup granulated sugar
• 1 large egg
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
• 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
• ½ teaspoon baking powder
• ¼ teaspoon salt
• Your favorite jam or preserves for filling
2. Instructions:
• In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
• Add the egg and vanilla extract to the butter mixture and mix well.
• In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
• Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, mixing until well combined.
• Roll out dough on a lightly floured surface.
• Cut circles using a cookie cutter or glass ( I used a glass)
• Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
• Make heart indents with your thumb on each cookie.
• Fill a piping bag(or ziplock bag) with your jam.
Then fill each heart indent.
• Place cookies in oven for 10-11 minutes.
