THINGS I WOULD FOCUS ON IF I WAS NEW TO THE GYM

I made so many insane mistakes as a beginner, so i wanted to share some things i wish i’d been told (and things i share with my clients to focus on)

* REST

you need to value your rest (rest days and sleep at night) in addition to your workouts. this is when your body is repaired those muscles!

You must remember that rest is just as important for muscle growth as actually training!

* FOLLOWING A PROGRAM

A simples structure program with 5-6 different exercises per day is all you really need! You absolutely do not need to change your workouts every week to "trick your mind" like some people say. You should stick to the same routine every week for many months at a time.

* FOCUS ON MUSCLE MIND CONNECTION

Muscle mind connection allows you to focus all of your effort on a specific muscle (which requires highly focused mental and physical energy but reaps incredible results). This might result in you having to go lower on the weight & slower on the reps to really feel it, but being able to mentally engage and focus on a muscle group while performing an exercise. You may also want to close your eyes for it to be more effective.

* VIEW FOOD AS FUEL

Calories are crucial to build strength! You should prioritise high protein, complex carbs, & fiber-rich foods in your diet to fuel your lifting.
