I’m BACK with another EASY at home bread recipe yall! I know you’re going to love this one…I’ve posted this recipe in the past on my insta, and people went crazy over it! But I don’t think I’ve ever shared it on here for my lemon8 fam 🙏
This is the EASIEST way to make english muffins and they taste so warm and fresh.
Recipe
- Grab a large mixing bowl, and add 1/2 cup of warm milk, 2 tbsp of honey, and 2 tbsp of melted butter. Whisk.
- Then, sprinkle 1 tsp of quick rise yeast on top and let it fit for 5 minutes. It should start to get slightly foamy!
- Whisk this together, and then add 1 egg and whisk together again.
- Then, pour in 1 & 3/4 cup of flour and 1/4 tsp of salt. Stir until a dough forms. It should be pretty sticky!
- Cover with a towel and place somewhere warm for an hour, or until doubled in size (reference my last video in this series for tips on this!)
- Transfer the dough to a floured surface and spread evenly—about 1/2-1 inch thick. Like I said, the dough should be pretty sticky, but still manageable. You can sprinkle a little flour if needed to help spread it out.
- Using a mason jar, or cup, cut out circles of the dough. This recipe makes 4!
- Transfer them to a cast iron skillet on low heat. Cover and cook on each side for 6 mins.
- Enjoy and store in an airtight container for 2-3 days!
