Day 1 of Eating Disorder Treatment

I made it through day one of partial hospitalization program for my eating disorder. The other patients are incredible, and the clinicians seem okay. I feel glad that I’m taking this step as well as terrified and ashamed. I laughed, I cried, and I may have puked out of fear or GI issues, who knows. But onwards we push.

In groups we talked harm reduction, lapses vs relapse, what recovery looks like long term, and the intersection of chronic pain and eating disorders. We had a lot of really cool conversations and I feel grateful to have access to this program. 🌻
