My Baby is Sick for The Very 1st Time

I. Was. Not. Ready.

My poor baby girl.. I noticed she was sneezing more often and starting to cough but I wasn't alarmed. I think what brought it on worse was I had her in the heat for a couple hours. All the sudden she couldn't breathe through her nose she was trying to breathe through her mouth and sounded raspy with the mucus in her throat. I called the on-call pediatrician and they said since she is so small to check in with the ER and that they had many cases of covid and pneumonia going around. I was making my way to the hospital (ALONE!) when I looked back at her and she was turning blue. I quickly stopped and threw my body into the backseat and shoved my finger down her throat. A glob of mucus covered my finger but she gasped for air and could breathe again. The ER said it is just a viral infection (common cold) and there is nothing we can do for her. I bought some things from walmart crying for my poor baby girl. It has been 3 days and I have been giving her the cough syrup, religiously sucking her nose and applying saline drops, and have given her a vapor bath with chest rub each night. She's not as snotty as she was before but today she lost her voice she could barely cry.

PLEASE 🙏 if you have any tips let a new momma know!! I would do anything to take this away from my sweet girl, it is absolutely heartbreaking 💔.
