Day trip to San Diego

📍Location: San Diego

I did a day trip to SD as I was visiting SoCal area. Our mission was to explore as many beaches and eat as many tacos as we can. Mission half accomplished. Tbh I’m a little disappointed in the tacos?? Does anyone have better recommendations for the next time I go?

——📒 What we did:

1. Visited La Jolla Cove - there’s a lot of vendors (anything from jewelry to snacks) all along the coast when you’re walking. I did end up picking up a cute ring (which I lost!!! 😭).

2. Explored the shops in downtown La Jolla - most of the shops are along Girard but there are cute boutiques are tucked away on side streets. A lot of restaurants too if you’re looking for a bite.

3. We had lunch at Oscars and City Tacos and topped off with dessert from Handels

4. Spent a chill afternoon at Ocean Beach, people watching and having our own little photoshoot.

5. The sun was about to set so we quickly made our way to Sunset Cliffs. I’m a sucker for sunsets and there’s something so peaceful just listening to the waves crash while the night dawns. A pleasant little surprise was the busker.

6. Hotel del Coronado - We actually explored the hotel on the way back to our hotel but I dont have any pictures of this. I would recommend the visit.

7. Tacos El Gordo - I’ve been to the location in Las Vegas and thought it was sooo good but this time it didn’t taste as good as when I had it in LV. Good midnight snack as they close at 1 or 2AM depending on the location.

8. Centennial Park - If sunsets are my number 1 view, city skylines are a close second. I try to find a good view of the skyline in every city I visit.

I love SD for its chill laid back vibe and all the beaches are so much cleaner. I can’t wait to come back and see more of the city!
