From Nurse to Medical Coding

Let’s be honest I’ve been a healthcare as a CNA field way too long almost 14 years exact. I’m changing something that is a completely different aspect of healthcare. Put it like this Nursing is like being a Co-pilot while doctors are the chief pilot; however with medical coding you are the navigator behind the scene sort of. If you don’t know what medical coder does then, let me explain: the process of translating a patient's health care information into universal alphanumeric codes. These codes are used to document medical records and ensure accurate medical billing. I will never walk away healthcare field because at one point I wanted to be a RN but I’ve seen what they go through mentally, emotionally and physically that’s something I can’t handle. Luckily someone told me about medical coding. Next thing I know I taking the class, it’s not an easy class I reassure you I’m struggling a little bit, but I’m looking forward to be apart in this side of health care career.
