OGDS procedure

Alhamdulillah, pagi ni husband selesai menjalani procedure OGDS... Alhamdulillah keputusannya normal cuma ada GERD type 1.

OGDS atau Oesophagogastroduodenoscopy ini adalah prosedur memasukkan scope ke dalam perut melalui mulut untuk melihat keadaan dalam saluran makanan ( perut ).. Kebiasaannya patient yang mengalami masalah berikut akan diberi cadangan untuk scope:

1) Gastric pain or discomfort, reflux symptoms, unresponsive to medical therapy

2) People who have difficulty swallowing

3) Anyone with an obvious mass in the gastric region, having unexplained weight loss or loss of appetite

4) People diagnosed with H. pylori but not responding to triple therapy

5) People with evidence of old blood in their stool (usually stool would be black due to oxidized old blood)

 Macam husband Saya Ni, memang Ada symptoms GERD (Bila makan jadi cepat penuh, perut rasa sebu,Nausea)
