God is Sovereign and Providential ~ Proverbs 3:5-6

Ruth 1

🤎Ruth is a story of redemption. Ruth shows us that God is sovereign and He acts in providence.

🤎we don’t know what the rest lives look like, but God does, and He’s willing to do whatever it takes to get us on track with His plan.

🤎we can see that the same God who was at work in Naomi and Ruth’s lives is the SAME God who is in control of ours.

🤎God is SOVEREIGN. this means this means that there are no coincidences in our existence or life experiences, and that God is INTENTIONAL.

🤎God acts in providence. this means He has the power to see outcomes and has made decisions concerning them.

🤎if we don’t have a problem with the world, maybe we have a problem with Jesus.

🤎life and walking with Jesus aren’t supposed to be easy roads because if life was an easy road, we probably wouldn’t need Jesus. God’s power is made perfect in our weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9)!

🤎in God’s sovereignty, Naomi’s husband was part of the process.

🤎the reality is that God understands perfectly everything in our lives and the reasoning for it. we may not see what’s waiting for us tomorrow, but God has because He’s already there.

🤎just because someone else participates in a sinning season doesn’t mean we have to with them. “sinning seasons” happen because we live in a lost and fallen world. life here on earth may not be too pretty, but when we graduate to Glory, we’ll have nothing to worry about. we’re always so worried about what’s going on here, we tend to forget about what’s to come up there.

🤎God pays attention to our needs!

🤎until we focus on our “being” instead of our “doing”, we’ll be playing a game of religion instead of fulfilling a relationship with God.
