I love a good trip dedicated to food–especially when it’s a trip to SoCal! Here are some of the things I ate in LA!

📝Review:

The menu is super simple, yet so good! The Crispy Disco is the best way to get your greens in–it’s a salad with crispy rice, sausage and a fried egg on top. We also loved the toast, which came with house whipped ricotta, different fruit jams, and a fluffy brioche toast

🍴Girl & The Goat

Goat Liver Mousse ($22)

King Salmon Poke ($24)

Sticky Glazed Pork Shank ($42)

📝Review:

If you’ve been to the location in Chicago and loved it, they now have a location in LA! This was my first time dinig at Girl and The Goat and I absolutely loved the ambiance and food. Some stand-outs for me were the goat liver mousse and the salmon poke. The goat liver mouse came with different types of pepper compotes and pie-crust-like crackers, as well as fresh fried dough. The salmon poke had a great texture contrast with the crispy salmon skin.

Tips: I would recommend making a reservation in advance!

📝Review: Be prepared to wait in line because this restaurant is definitely a popular one! There’s usually a line down the street during breakfast and lunch, so come early and be prepared to wait. Once you enter the restaurant, you’re greeted with a glass case of beautiful pastries, cakes and cookies to choose from. The food was also great–we loved the mushroom toast and the creamy sauce on top, as well as the soft, buttery bun for the breakfast sandwich
