it wasn't nearly enough in pt.1 of KL (found here) so here are some more food finds from a recent trip to KL for all the food lovers out there ๐Ÿ˜

๐Ÿ“

JOLOKO

~150myr (~46sgd) per pax

5/5 โญ๏ธ

Serves up afro-caribbean cuisine which honestly was the best food i've had the entire trip ๐Ÿคฉ ambience was perfect, service was impeccable and most importantly the food was AMAZING (best i tried was their beef tongue, stingray, and their desserts! and most interesting was goat ribs)

They have an array of cocktails that utilise mezcal (very rare to find in sg) so give it a shot when you're there! also, try to make a reservation as they can fill up fast!

*opens 5pm-1am mon-fri & 12pm-1am sat-sun

๐Ÿ“

SEK YUEN RESTAURANT

~75myr (~23sgd) per pax

4/5โญ๏ธ

Oldest chinese restaurant in KL that serves up authentic cantonese cuisine (like pi pa duck)!! very old school vibes and the food slaps big time ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ

If you can speak cantonese, use it with the servers and they'll be nicer and share with you their knowledge on the dish preparation options, pairing and quantity!

*opens 11am-230pm, 5-930pm tues-sun

๐Ÿ“

TSUJIKI NO.8

~200myr (~60sgd) per pax

5/5โญ๏ธ

Very solid japanese cuisine spot with the freshest seafood on the menu!! excellent value for the quality and the service is one of the best on this trip โœจ they have an array of sashimi, nigiri, tempura, yakitori, different types of noodles, etc., and specials depending on the season! it is also located in a small and quieter mall away from crowds (feels like a smaller version of cuppage plaza in sg) so it's really nice to come here for dinner!

*opens 1130am-3pm, 6-10pm daily

๐Ÿ“

RESTORAN CHAR SIEW YOONG

~40myr (~12sgd) per pax

4/5 โญ๏ธ

Legendary char siew spot in KL ๐Ÿ’ฏ the crowd was mad but justifiably so cause the meat was melt-in-your-mouth amazing and had a char that's really hard to find anywhere else!! the char siew was the star of the show but you have to try their braised pork knuckles cause it will be the softest pork knuckles you'll ever have in your LIFE.

Come early to avoid the peak hour queues! service was good and food is served up pretty quickly so + points for that too!

*opens 1030am-430pm daily

๐Ÿ“

DELI BROS CAFE

~15myr (~4.6sgd) per pax

2.5/5 โญ๏ธ

Honestly this is the one place that is a pass for me cause i tried their matcha and americano and both tasted so diluted (matcha wasn't even whisked properly and there were clumps of it at the bottom, americano tasted just like hot water) BUT their saving grace (that made their rating a 2.5 instead of a 1) is their iced chocolate which was really rich and topped off with more cocoa powder on top! that and the ambience which was relaxing and quiet was nice but i wouldn't come back for any of their other stuff ๐Ÿ˜–

*opens 8am-12pm daily

๐Ÿ“

FOO HWA KOPITIAM

~5myr (~1.5sgd) per pax

5/5

Located in a dingy alley in Chinatown (Petaling street), this hidden breakfast spot will leave you WANTING MORE! i accidentally stumbled upon this place after having porridge nearby because i noticed so many people at Chinatown at 6am were carrying HUGE bags of kopi/teh and a woman was telling us to go here for the best kopi in the morning ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป

Really popular with locals, the drinks here were really STRONG AND THICK omg, the half-boiled eggs were cracked for me, and the toast was fresh and lovely too! best part is the hidden, dark environment this family-run stall is in which makes this a new gem for me! โœจ

*no clear opening hours but usually open in mornings!

๐Ÿ“

PIU PIU PIU CAFE

4/5โญ๏ธ

~15myr (4.6sgd) per pax

Could only order this to my hotel via grabfood but this was a cup of really good coffee! i needed a saviour after the failed deli bros cafe earlier in the day and this was perfect ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ have yet to try visiting the cafe itself but saw pictures and read reviews saying it's a lovely place to be at so maybe try to visit to try their coffee fresh!

*opens 1230-6pm tues-sun

Overall, there are plenty more places to try in KL as it is such a massive city with a deep food scene so i'll be back for sure! nonetheless, these are some of the places i managed to try so if you're heading to KL soon and looking for some plsces to try do give these spots a shot (they'll be worth your time and money fr) ๐Ÿ˜ if there's anything i missed or if you have any other reccommendations please share them below!! if not, as always stay safe and happy travelling y'all ๐Ÿข
