Why I'm A Low-Income SAHM

People often question why I choose to stay at home with my son, and live off of one income, when we are barely scraping by financially.

My answer to this is that I will always put my family first. Over money, over friends, over anything.

My son has never been away from me for very long. He's a contact napper, and won't even go to sleep until we get home if we call in a babysitter for the night. This is because I practice attachment style parenting.

I agree that children need independence. And I give my son plenty of opportunities to be independent, but he is still a baby and he needs me. And that's okay.

Raising my son is the most fulfilling job I have ever done. I never ever get tired of being his mama. I can't imagine a better place I could be than home with my baby boy.

Money will come and go, but family is forever.
