Amsterdam & Holland 1 Day Itinerary! 🌷

We had just over 24 hours in the Netherlands & we wanted to make the most of it! Here is what we did to hit the highlights:

(I also want to note there are WAY more awesome things to do in the area, but if you’re on a time crunch like we were, this guide is perfect for you!)

🌷FIND THE TULIPS:

- If it’s spring see the Tulips! if you want guaranteed tulips and don’t mind touristy crowds, then go to Keukenhof. We chose to find some fields on our own to avoid the crowd instead.

-Drive to the province of Flevoland for free tulips, the largest field in the Netherlands, and way less crowds. Noordoostpolder has the biggest fields or Lelystad is a close second. Others are Dronten, Lelystad & Zeewolde. We used the downloadable tulip routes from the Tulpenroute Flevoland website .

🧇 GET A STROOPWAFEL:

-wander the city and make sure to get a stroopwaffel. We got ours at van wonderen stroopwafels, kalverstraat 190, 1012 XH

-other sweet stops around the city you can include are Getting cookies at van stapele or Get pie at winkel (winkel 43, Amsterdam)

📍THE WINDMILLS:

- The Kinderdijk Windmills is free to visit besides parking and the entrance into its little museum if you want to go there. You can go inside operating windmills and look out over the water from the top of them! There are lots of lambs running around the area too in spring!

🚲 WANDER AMSTERDAM:

-Walk through the e jordaan neighborhood

- walk alongside and cross over the egelantiergracht canal on the bridges

-another hidden gem not shown is that back in Amsterdam there is a swing over the canal! It’s located Outside ragtime vintage sauvage clothing shop on the egelantiergracht canal.
