What I learned about Colorado after moving here

1. It’s normal to drive and hour or more to go places or commute to work. Virginia Rhea would be unwell if she found out the amount I drive just for work or to get a bite to eat 🥴

2. Colorado is not all Rocky Mountain High by John Denver. The landscape changes from place to place and the majority of CO is flat.🏔️

3. There are bugs here, even in the mountains. Before moving to Colorado I was told there weren’t any mosquitoes.. that was a lie. This year we had an abnormal amount of rain and the bugs were treacherous.🦟

4. There is less of a hustle culture. That is not to say there aren’t people here that are getting after it everyday, there definitely is, however I have found that it’s normal for people to work seasonal, part time, or flexible jobs that allow for a little more freedom to spend outdoors. 🧗‍♀️

5. Dog lovers, this is your state! Everyone has a dog here. If you ever find yourself asking can my dog come? The answer while in Colorado is most likely yes. Fun Fact - your dog can officiate your marriage here. 🐶
