A date night in NYC: Soho edition

This night was one of my top five date nights in NYC and all mostly because we got to try out 2 new places and we absolutely ended up loving both!!

We started out the night at Shiki Omakase and got the 12 course omakase for $65, a steal for New York City. Each course was so fresh and the chefs took the time to explain each one, which we appreciated. My favorite was the Akamizuki, which had fatty tuna, which melts once you take your first bite. The restaurant also offers a selection of sake, beer, and other beverages. If you’re hungry, they offer a 17 course omakase for $100 and additional special courses, such as the Winter special, which had A5 wagyu.

A bonus tip for Shiki Omakase is that it looks soooo fun for birthdays! A group next to us had a birthday, so the restaurant dimmed their lights and instead turned on party strobe lights and played “In da Club” by 50 cent. A great vibe and I could tell the birthday girl loved it.

Following dinner, we wandered around Soho and eventually stepped into Champers Social Club. They seem very walk-in friendly! The restaurant has a chill + classy vibe and is very much a spot I recommend for those in their late 20s/30s! We both got a glass of wine, and the waiter brought free chips along with our glasses!
