live your BARBIE girl dreams with these PINK FITS💗

you’ve definitely seen all the hype around the BARBIE MOVIE that’s coming out next week!! if you are planning to dress up to watch the movie but haven’t decided what you are gonna wear, then this post is for YOU!! 😘😘

as a lover of pink, my closet has no shortage of pink pieces, so here are a few of my favourite combinations, that will hopefully inspire you to craft your own barbie girl fits!! 🎀💅🏻

1️⃣ Gingham Barbie 🧺💐🎀

paying homage to the movie’s ICONIC pink gingham dress, i have this matching pink gingham set!! i styled this outfit with a matching gingham thick hairband, and mock neck top. overall i love how this outfit gives a modern spin on the classic 1960s gingham look!

2️⃣ Retro Fashionista Barbie 🎧🌷🦩

this look focuses on the crop top + retro houndstooth print on the outfit of the fashionista barbie. i paired a classic pink tank top with a similar houndstooth print skirt! the cute box like bag is also a callback to the bags our barbie dolls used to have too!

3️⃣ Party Girl Barbie 👛🍸✨

nothing screams barbie more than a classic pink dress! for this look i decided to style a simple pink mini dress, and pair it with a pair of shades like the ✨celebrity✨ that barbie is! this look is super simple to put together and doesn’t require clothes of a specific pattern!

4️⃣ Y2K Barbie 💖💿💄

meshing the currently trendy y2k fashion with barbie pink, and you get yourself a look featuring a trendy colour block halter top and some classic white jeans! unlike other dolls (bratz) that really hone in on the y2k aesthetic, i chose a more simple look that is closer to barbie’s timeless style! adding in some scattered flower clips too much like those special dolls that came with clip ins for your doll’s hair!

5️⃣ Barbie Princess 👑🩰🌸

we can’t talk about barbie without mentioning her iconic princess movies that shaped most of our childhoods! while i would love to wear a princess gown, i decided to come up with something abit more causal for daily wear yet retain some ✨princess✨ elements. hence i styled a lacey corset-like bustier top with pink pleated A line skorts! i even added a mini heart bag to add to the doll aesthetic!
