A vet once told me: “there is no such thing as a picky dog… there’s either a dog that likes what you’re feeding, or a dog that’s trying to communicate something to you.”

And that struck a chord…

Obviously there are multiple factors involved, but when in doubt - seeing a vet can help rule out issues before they become big problems.

Dogs can refuse to eat because they’re:

- Not hungry, many dogs self fast

- Have an upset tummy

- Smell something foul in the food

- Painful (often dental pain)

- Uncomfortable/anxious

The list goes on… first step is: see the vet!
