Matcha drink was 10/10😍

The famous Japanese warabimochi store has finally opened its first outlet in Singapore and I couldn’t be more excited to try it out!

The shop opens at 10am. Me and my friend decided to head down to the shop at 11:30am and the queue was already suuuper long. The waiting time for us was about 45minutes which was slightly long but expected due to how popular the outlet is.

Here’s what we ordered:

5-piece Warabimochi Box🍡 ($7.90)

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5

The mochi was very jiggly and soft. As compared to regular mochi, this melts in your mouth!😩 The soybean powder coupled with the complimentary kuromitsu syrup really hits the spot. The mochi however can become quite jelat and for one person, i found it hard to finish the 5 large pieces! However, as a mochi lover, I still really enjoyed it~🤤

Asakawa-en Matcha🍵 ($7.90 for M, $5.90 for S)

I LOVED THIS! The matcha was the perfect sweetness for me! Originally, I thought the toppings were red bean but it turned out to be soft and chewy mochi dipped what I assume to be brown sugar🤤 I think the drink was really harmonious and I would definitely come back again for this!

Strawberry Yoghurt🍓 ($9.90 for M, $7.90 for S)

The drink was refreshing and sweet, however, I feel that that there wasn’t much kick to it, it’s really just yoghurt and sweet strawberry jam mixed together. 😅 Due to possible stock limits, the store is currently only selling a maximum of 80 cups of strawberry milk/yoghurt each day, so if you still want to try it, you have to go early!!

Do take note:

- Try to come as early as possible as they sell out really fast

- There is a limit of 2 drinks and 2 mochi boxes per pax so make sure to bring friends along if you want to buy them in bulk🤭
