SHENZHEN DAY TRIP FROM HK 🇭🇰>🇨🇳

Took a day trip to shenzhen on my recent hongkong trip. Below is a step by step guide of how to travel from hongkong to shenzhen.

1. Take HK MTR to Hong Kong West Kowloon Station.

2. Buy HSR tickets from klook. You can select your preferred timing for the train and one ticket costs about $12 each with allocated seat. I bought from HK West Kowloon station to Futian station in SZ. Eticket will be issue to you, no physical ticket required.

3. Cater time for customs clearing. First you need to clear HK customs then SZ customs. I went on a weekday so there wasn’t much crowd. The whole process took about 30min. Would suggest you catered 45min-1h for customs clearing prior to your train departure timing. Customs clearing is quite straightforward, just follow the signs and go to the visitors/foreigners lanes.

4. Take the bullet train and you will arrive in SZ in less than 20mins!

Once you reach the station, you can walk and exit to the main road. Cross the road and you will reach a huge mall called shopping park. You can have lunch there as there are many Chinese restaurants at low prices. There are also many bbt stores in the mall for you to quench your thirst in the super hot weather.

After lunch you can take the train to 老街 station and you will reach 东门老街. It is a bustling area with many shops and food. There are also wholesale market place there for clothing shopping.

After dinner, the nearest station around was 晒布 station. We took the train back to 福田 and took the HSR back to HK.

Highly recommend you take a day trip to SZ for the experience. The food prices and expenses are comparatively lower than of HK too. Note to setup Alipay/Wechatpay for payments.
