Hello 🍋

Especially ECDE students in poly or future students!

Normally in Year 2 - ECDE students will decide their electives that they wanna take in year 3. i picked the Early Intervention Track - which unlike the other electives, you'll get an additional module. So people have like total of 7 modules, whereas for me, i have 8 modules to get through. One plus side is upon graduation, I'll get an additional certificate for doing the early intervention track tho! for your 6 months, you'll get an opportunity to intern in an Early Intervention Centre 🎓

i'll be sharing mainly on the modules, because i am currently going through the internship segment!

Modules:

- Childhood Disorder & Disabilities

- Early Intervention Teaching Approaches and Strategies

- Assessment of Young Children

i would like to say all my lectures teaching these modules are very informative and knowledgeable 🙂‍↕️ and love to share their real-life experiences at the early intervention centre.

i honestly found the second half of the semester was more fun, refreshing and interesting! because of the different assignments and how we could actually utilise the information that we've learnt 🧏🏻‍♀️ the first half really was about theory.

i find it super interesting and helpful whenever i had the opportunity to actually simulate the different disabilities and disorder. from there, the assignments especially the groups ones were very fun because we had to do assessments on a real child and see from there, what kind of strengths, weaknesses and goals we can create for the child. Currently on my internship and i've been able to connect the dots for sure! (but it's only been 2 weeks so i'm still learning!!)

As i am an ecda-bonded, i'll become a preschool teacher once i graduate, but i heard if you wanna work in the EIPIC centres, you can request early 👩🏻‍🏫
