The latest opening of Tipo at Keong Saik is no surprise, given their consistently full outlets.

Their fame for handmade pasta dishes is well-deserved, with a menu featuring a variety of options, from classic carbonara and bolognese to unique creations like truffle mushroom and prawn aglio olio coated with squid ink sauce.

The atmosphere at Tipo's latest outlet at Keong Saik is chic and inviting, with an open kitchen adding to the ambiance.

We opted for the Beef Bolognese ($15.90), which boasted smoked beef bolognese, caramelised cherry tomatoes, and grated grant padano.

Unfortunately, it didn't pass muster with me. It felt like instant fast-food, with too little sauce and beef 😖 The only redeeming factor was the fresh pasta, made in-house daily.

I've visited Tipo concepts a couple of times and have experienced hits and misses. In general, it’s definitely a place for more than average quality pasta but it wasn’t one of the best.
