Render vs Reality - Common Bathroom

𝟯𝗗 𝗥𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝘃𝘀 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 | 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝟲/𝟵 - 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗼𝗻 𝗕𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝗼𝗺

Welcome to our common bathroom! 🫧 The design has been kept rather simple, focusing mainly on curating a calming liminal space that is easy to maintain 🙌🏻

𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝗳𝗲𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲𝘀 & 𝗱𝗲𝗰𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀:

🤎 𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝘁-𝗶𝗻 𝗺𝗶𝗿𝗿𝗼𝗿 𝗰𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘁 + 𝗯𝗼𝘁𝘁𝗼𝗺 𝗰𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘁

—> maximises storage (spans the entire available width)

—> internal compartments customised to our needs

—> minimises exposed surfaces > reduces cleaning

—> reduces distance between user & mirror = greater ease when using mirror - we are both myopic, so this is very important when we don’t have contact lens/spectacles on! 🫣

🤎 𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝘁-𝗶𝗻 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗼𝗽

—> maximises countertop space (comes in handy when washing & drying multiple items in basin + do not have to worry about accidentally knocking items off countertop)

—> water mainly splashes on countertop instead of the floor > keeps dry floor area dry

🤎 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗼𝗽 𝗯𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗻

—> we have heard so many stories about how difficult maintaining a countertop basin in, and wanted to go with an under-mount basin initially. However, it was love at first sight with this basin 🥹 (thankfully, maintenance has been alright!)

—> it acts as a centrepiece in our minimalist bathroom!

—> it is deep and wide, which is great for washing items

🤎 𝗙𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗴𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿 𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻 (𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗳-𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁)

—> fluted = less obvious water marks

—> half-height = easier maintenance

🤎 𝗛𝗮𝗹𝗳-𝘄𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗵𝗲

—> houses our shower essentials

—> hides our shower essentials from the entrance view > reduces “cluttered” look > minimises urge to get “nice-looking” bottles
