Brasserie Astoria is a relatively new Italian restaurant opened in 2023, located at Victoria Concert Hall. It is the Frantzen Group’s second venture in Singapore, after their highly acclaimed three-Michelin-star fine dining restaurant, Zen.
Interior:
The tables are designed in a curtained-dining-booth style which makes it quite private for each group, yet it is cosy and intimate at the same time. I love the high ceiling and their bar centre-piece, it just screams ✨ atas✨ ! Not to forget, they have pretty plates too. 😍
What we ordered:
〰 Garlic bread (12SGD)
As a bread lover, this was so good. The sourdough had a crisp exterior and fluffy interior. The garlic butter and parsley spread was extremely generous too.
〰 Astoria Linguine (56SGD)
Comes with clams and bafun uni. Very umami, aromatic and creamy with the melted garlic.
〰 Whiskey Flambé Angus beef (72SGD)
The most theatrical dish for your IG stories. (Prepared tableside). Perfectly cooked medium-rare.
〰 Grilled spring chicken (serves two)
Served alongside two portions of Mac & cheese which I found a little dry and tough. Good presentation though. Chicken on the other hand was well-executed, and it was so tender!
〰 Desserts
Miso butterscotch & candied pecans soft serve (16SGD). I love the sweet-and-salty flavour. A perfect sweet ending to the meal.
Waffle ice cream - Hazelnut waffle, salted milk ice cream, hazelnut crumble & apple compote (20SGD). Legendary IG-worthy heart-shaped waffle dessert.
🌟 MUST ORDER 🌟
- Råraka
- Toast Astoria
- Garlic bread
- Whiskey Flambed beef
- Miso butterscotch sesame soft serve
Overall, a nice venue for quality food on dates in a romantic casual-fine dining setting. It is great for small groups too as the menu is designed for sharing. Prices are relatively steep, but definitely a more an accessible dining experience as compared to its sister Restaurant Zen.
