Transitioning From 1 to 2 Kids Was Surprising!!

When I say the transition from 1 to 2 kids was surprising, I mean it in the best way. Nothing compares to the confidence I had in my ability to be a mom, which made the transition from 1 to 2 kids seamlessly easy in comparison from 0 to 1 kid.

Being a first time mom was filled with so many “what-if’s”. What if she gets hurt? What if she gets sad? What if she’s allergic? What if others don’t have her best interest in mind?

The what-if’s went on and on and on….

With my second, the what-if’s never went away. Rather, they tilted on their axis to discover a new way of thinking positively.

The negatives turned into: What if she loves it? What if she thrives? What if she makes a friend? What if this experience turns into a joyful core memory?

The confidence I had in my own parenting abilities, combined with a positive outlook on raising my babies to be healthy and happy humans, made an easily overwhelming journey very rewarding.

Being a mom of two is hard. It’s always tiring. But it’s much more enjoyable than the unknowns that come with being a first time mom. Watching your babies grow together as siblings is also an added bonus of the 1 to 2 transition! ❣️
