The journey continues in Mexico City. Here is part two of my travel recommendations for visiting this lively city:

1. Pan de Muerto - This traditional Day of the Dead sweet bread is often used as an altar decoration to honor and celebrate the deceased, and can be found at certain times of the year.

2. Templo de San Felipe Neri - Located on Madero Street, this church is famous for being the site of historical events such as the La Profesa Conspiracy.

3. Picture with a CDMX Sign - Giant photo spots with the CDMX sign can be found throughout the city, including this one on the lake inside the sprawling 1,695-acre Bosque de Chapultepec, Mexico City's largest park.

4. Altar a la Patria - This monument commemorates the Niños Héroes, six teenage military cadets who died defending Mexico City from the United States during the Battle of Chapultepec.

5. Omniscience by José Clemente Orozco - The Casa de los Azulejos (House of Tiles) is an 18th-century Baroque palace with a facade covered in blue and white colonial Talavera tiles. Don't miss the mural by José Clemente Orozco titled Omniscience in the main stairway.

6. Ritual Mayan Pole Dance - Witness the Mayan pole dance, where four to five participants climb a 98-foot pole, launching themselves with ropes as they descend while playing a flute and drum. According to one myth, the ritual was created to ask the gods to end a severe drought.

What are your favorite things to do in CDMX?
