Menchetti in Florence, Italy - a Food Review!

This spot is in a great location - right by the Uffizi gallery! And the spot itself was beautiful with very cool architecture and decorated beautifully.

We first ordered drinks, in which my boyfriend got a Paloma and I went off the waiter’s suggestion (I wanted sweet and fruity) and got an Italicus. My boyfriend’s Paloma was awesome - mine was weird. It tasted odd, and just looked like water… and it wasn’t really sweet or fruity. I wonder if he gave me the right thing?

My boyfriend loved it though! So I guess it might have just been my taste preference.

We then ordered pizza alla palas- which is what the restaurant is known for. We got a margherita one and a piccante one.

The margherita was great! Sauce was nice and tomato-ful, and the cheese was great too. It was cooked super well!

The piccante one was better! The pepperoni really added some spice to it, but it wasn’t spicy at all, surprisingly.

Overall - we enjoyed it. Service was a little slow, but great location, good food and drinks, so I would recommend!
