SG 1st Chai Specialty Cafe | outdoor pet-friendly

Nestled in the neighbourhood of Katong, Good Chai People is a new cafe that serves handmade artisanal sticky chai. ☕️

I love the vibrant colors and botanical elements they picked for the cafe decor. And if you thought this is just another cafe in the east, it actually has a boutique corner for Nine Wicker Ave which sells hand-poured candles and essential oils. So u can get your brunch, drinks and shopping done in one trip!

To be honest, I’m not a Chai person so I decided to try out their Apple Cinnamon Chai because apple and cinnamon sound sweeter right? As predicted it is not as strong as the original Chai so it is good for me!

🧁: Speculoos Apple Tart ($7.0) , 4.5/5

I have also tried the Speculoos Apple Tart that was recommended by the staff. The apple tart is lightly sweetened and it is good to serve with a Chai drink.

🍞: Truffle Creme Focaccia ($8.0) , 5/5

One of the pastries I would highly recommend for you guys is their Truffle Creme Focaccia (which I didn’t manage to take a photo because I took it away as my breakfast for the next day). It comes with a super strong truffle smell and it is still soft when I eat it the next day!

The not so good part? Perhaps it is their outdoor seating. The fans are installed above the walkway and the outdoor seatings are further away(along the roadside) so we hardly feel the cool air. So the tip is to bring your own mini fans when you bring your pups there!
