hustling in year one summer? 🥵💔‼️

the rat race in Singapore is real. back in y1 summer, i managed a summer intern, 4 NUS camps, a week-long Bali getaway, catch-up with friends and even got myself a partner 🥵

how did i cope with having literally only 3 days of clear schedule for 3 months? 😵‍💫

✅ time management

- i’ve never relied on Google Calendar more than ever during these 3 months, i knew my schedule so well i could tell my friends what i was up to 3 weeks in advance

- if i wanted to meet anyone i had to arrange way in advance to make sure nothing clashed

- squeezed in dinner plans to most of my working days so that i could maximize the day

✅ know how you de-stress

- i’m an extroverted person so for me, meeting my friends wasn’t a tiring activity and it actually let out a lot of my stress as i could yap my worries away

✅ multi-tasking

- my intern was quite chill so i was even handling my hall commitments during working hours

- i had to rush out a design once and did it on the MRT on the way to a mahjong session. i even finished the design during a game

✅ perseverance

- honestly still don’t know how i made it through those 3 months but i would think that i’m not one to back down from a challenge especially one that i’ve signed myself up for

while i do not recommend hustling so hard during year 1 summer, it did ensure that while i did have fun during summer, i also made many meaningful memories and up-skilled myself over the summer. plus an additional internship to my portfolio was something i was pleasantly surprised by ⭐️
