my first mother’s day🫶

I love being a mom. It hasn’t been easy and I’m working through PPA every day, but overall the joy motherhood has brought me is out of this world. There’s no feeling that compares to holding your baby for the first time, and I truly wish I could relive that moment over and over again. On this Mother’s Day, my very first one with him in my arms, I want to talk about some of my favorite things so far.

•the little newborn cry (i miss that😂)

•contact naps

•the way he smiles at me when I take him out of his crib in the morning

•when he holds my hand or nuzzles against my face for comfort

•hearing him giggle for the first time

•getting to be the one that watches him experience things for the very first time

•when he first found his voice and wouldn’t stop babbling

•seeing how much he loves his daddy (this makes my heart melt)

•knowing that i’m his safe space

•seeing how much my friends love and care for him

•watching him try foods for the first time

•seeing his little personality grow

I could go on and on. He makes me smile every single day and I’m so beyond grateful I get to be this sweet little man’s mama. I may be exhausted, and still sometimes stare at him in disbelief that he’s really mine (because time goes by so fast it doesn’t even feel like I was pregnant) but life is better than I ever could’ve imagined with him in it. 🩵
