My Convocation Day: Some Ups & Downs🧑‍🎓✨💐

After spending four years in Unisel, I've finally reached my graduation! 🎉🎉 Honestly speaking, it didn't feel like four years as time literally flew past for me, and I spent one year doing online courses because of covid. So, the graduation was very surreal.🥺

However, I'm going to try and put into words everything that I've experienced so let's start from what happened from the beginning!⏰

First things first, we arrived a few hours earlier to take pictures at the library. 🖼️ My parents were kind enough to pay for a personal photo + family photo package so that was really nice. I was really stressed out over my attire though because it wasn't looking good. 😭 However, we finally managed to settle down and took some pretty pictures with bright smiles. ❤️🎉

Next, we rushed to have lunch and then rushed to the side of the hall to register ourselves. There, I got a few surprises!😱 The first thing was that my socks did not fit dress code so I had to find new socks 😭. And my friend got dress coded for her open shoes. 💀😭 My mom came to the rescue so thank you mom for lending us your socks and shoes😭🙏.

After that, I managed to get a sash because of my best student award!🥰 My parents were also offered VIP seats at the front of the hall. My dad was very pleased with that but too bad my mom couldn't enter. 🥺

The ceremony began soon and there were so many people and so many students ahhhh.🤩 We entered in a procession and it was very exciting. I felt really happy and proud being part of the march entering the hall. Following that were the proceedings of formality.

When it was my turn to go onstage, I was too nervous I started walking when I heard them speak. But in reality I was supposed to wait. 😭 So I speeded through and when my name was said I was already offstage. Apparently it caused a mini commotion and everyone was confused as to why I did that but I'm confused myself too. 😭😭 I feel very apologetic to the next person in line too because of this blunder as they didn't get their name announced nor shown on screen. 😭🥺🙏 I did apologize but what's done is done.

We exited the hall in another procession after and we were greeted by a large crowd and drums with set a very lively and vibrant atmosphere. Everyone loved the vibe. 🥰✨🎉

It was a frenzy of us taking pictures after with each other while we exchanged bouquets and looked for our friends for the last time before we parted ways.🥺🤳 It felt very bittersweet, but was so hectic I couldn't process anything until I was out of the venue.

Overall, it was a very entertaining and good time. 🥺There were some regrets that I was I could redo, but I will treasure the memories of the day. 🤗✨
