going overseas? pack these with you on your next trip! from what i have learnt in my past 3.5 years in pharmacy school, these are THE essential medicines that you absolutely need when travelling! you can get all of these at your nearest retail/ polyclinic/ hospital pharmacies.

i have indicated those that you need to get from the pharmacist with (p) and those you can get on the shelf/ over the counter as (otc). PLEASE CHECK FOR DRUG ALLERGIES OR DRUG INTERACTIONS (if you are taking other medications)!!!

💊 cough, cold and flu

- sore throat: danzen (otc), neuflo (otc), leftose (otc)

- dry cough: dexcophan (p)

- phlegm: vasican (p)

- runny nose: zyrtec-r (otc), clarityn (otc), telfast (otc), chlorpheniramine (p)

- runny + blocked nose: zyrtec-d (p), clarityn-d (p), telfast-d (p)

💊 stomach/ gastrointestinal

- gerd: gaviscon (otc)

- acid reflux: actal (otc), veragel (p)

- gastric pain: omeprazole (p)

- diarrhea (to help with absorbing excess water): imodium (p), dhamotil (p)

- diarrhea (to help flush out toxins): charcoal pills (otc)

- constipation: bisacodyl tablets (otc)

💊 others

- motion sickness: novomin (p), cinnarizine (p)

- headaches/ fever/ pain relief: panadol (otc), nurofen (otc), alleve (otc)
