my 🖤BORNPINK🩷 concert experience: worth the $350?

After 6 months of waiting….. finally BLACKPINK is in our area. Went for DAY 1 of BP tour in Singapore at the A2 standing pen, which costs $328 + $32 (for Blink membership to access pre-sale). Documenting my end to end concert experience, which was honestly physically and mentally exhausting. But I’ll do it all over again 🤩

8.30AM: Started queuing for the lightsticks outside Stadium MRT, only to find out there’s an express queue for lightsticks only. But we decided to queue on as we were already inside. The lines were moving continuously since it opened at 9am, but it only reached our turn at 11.15am - close to 3 hour wait.

3.30PM: Reached back Stadium around 3pm and proceeded to security checks! As ours wasn’t seating tickets, we had to enter the holding area before the 4pm cut off time.

5.15PM: Only around this time after the soundcheck were we allowed in, this is when they start scanning your tickets etc. Unfortunately we had to use the toilet (WE DIDN’T KNOW THERE’S MORE INSIDE), so we waited for 30 minutes for 1 cubicle outside and kind of missed our queue. More concert tips and learning points in my next post…. we dumb. 😭

8PM: CONCERT STARTED 30 minutes later than scheduled. While I thought I would be able to see the stage with ease… NO. People in front whipped up their phones which honestly made it so hard to see, I had to tiptoe throughout (I am 1.65m, but 1.67m with my Air Force). And seeing them on the main stage was hard, only when they came to the stage in front then I could see their faces. 🤡

Honestly it was a bit difficult to enjoy myself and sing along to the songs fully which was a shame as I was more focused on trying to see them with my own eyes rather than through people’s phones lol.

TLDR: The standing pen is only worth it if you are of a certain height.

9.45PM: Time the concert ended after the encore! TBH felt it was a lil rushed, but nonetheless it was a GOOD show and seeing them in person up close felt surreal because of how pretty they look even IRL?

Was it worth? Yes. But mixed feelings about squeezing in front. While I did get a good view of the girls face to face, it was harder to vibe and just enjoy the whole concert entirely 🥺
