come with me to the MET Museum

let’s travel back in time to one of my favorite exhibits in the Anna Wintour Costume Center of the Metropolitan Museum of Art - “The Pursuit of Fashion: A Collection by Sandy Schreier” 2019-2020. The exhibition features timeless possessions from the pioneering collector, Sandy Schreier, who amassed a trove of 20th century French and American couture and ready-to-wear fashions, sketches, and headpieces.

The exhibit celebrated the 150th anniversary of the Museum.

I typically try to focus on 2-3 exhibitions in one trip to the MET, as it’s impossible to truly appreciate the entire museum in one day. Usually, I’d finish my day up at the rooftop bar with a martini, taking in the view of Central Park, however since there were certain restrictions due to Covid-19, so no martini’s for me!

I did end the day sitting on the steps out front with a soft pretzel and a classic NYC hotdog from the carts outside. the perfect Sunday. ❤️
