COAST & ROAST BY FISH & CO. ⋆.ೃ࿔*:･

I recently went on an impromptu date to Coast & Roast By Fish & Co which located at Paragon Orchard. My date and I were at the Orchard to go for shopping and we planned to get a simple lunch afterwards. But as you know, Orchard has a wide variety of pricey meals, and we also don’t want to go overboard with expensive foods especially after spending on unnecessary stuffs..

Both of us got the Shrimp & Clams Aglio Olio and Truffle Chips for the sides.

The aglio olio tastes similar to what you would find at any western stall outside or restaurants. Maybe it's just a little too oily for me, and the roasted garlic adhered to my teeth, almost making me lose my appetite. It's the point where I set aside all the roasted garlic so that I can comfortably eat the pasta without them being stuck on my teeth anymore, troublesome right?..

Lastly, the truffle chips do not have an overbearing fragrance or taste to it, which I enjoy. However, I am not a huge fan of truffles, so I insisted on giving it a try since he loves them so much and while I'm just being courteous, I'm actually struggling to swallow it all. Although it wasn't too horrible, I wouldn't take the risk again.

Overall, it was a great experience and service. But, to my surprise, I had no idea his brother worked there, and he even offered us a staff discount, which was very generous of him. We only paid a few dollars less than the initial amount, which still seems rather expensive to me, and I'm grateful for that. I'm not sure how much it was because he paid for it and wouldn't allow me see the receipt haha -_-

I'm not sure if I'll come back to try some of their other food options because the prices are prohibitively pricey for me. However, if I could afford it, I would return here to treat my loved ones !
