Signs you're in a toxic friendship 🫠🤡💔

In my last post, I talked about how you shouldn't end friendships over little things, those tips are for salvageable genuine friendships

However, in this post im shining light on signs that maybe it's time to find better friends, this are clear obvious behaviours that screams red flag 🚩

01 You don't feel at ease telling them about your success or good news 🥹💔 — This is definitely a tell-tale sign of a toxic friendship. If you find that you get nervous about telling a friend about your good news ask yourself why.

Do they dismiss your success as luck instead of congratulating you?

Do they make snarky passive aggressive comments like suggesting your good news/success will not be forever?

Do they give backhanded compliments making you doubt yourself?

This is when you know you need to get better friends. 😠☝🏻 A true friend would not see you as competition but would want you to succeed in life.

01 They expect you to do things for their birthday but don't give the same energy back when it's yours 🎉🤔 — I've seen this happen to friends around me with their other friends and you'll be surprise at how common it is. They're not really your 'friend' if they're expecting you to make their birthday special yet when it comes to your special day the efforts are not on par ⚖️

I've seen friends plan & throw birthday parties for their said 'friend' and when it comes to theirs they don't even get a happy birthday text message 🤡

3. They don't reciprocate favours 🤧💌 — It's common to ask a friend for a favour. However, if you find that when it's ur turn seeking a favour from them and they make it seem like a hassle or a chore 😵‍💫🥱 This makes it clear that to them your friendship means nothing more than a service for when they need something.

Please don't be a silly goose — There's a clear difference between helping a friend and being used by a friend 🥺😭
