FRIED GREEN TOMATOS

My grandmother gave me some green tomatoes from her garden and so I decided to make some fried green tomatoes. I don’t eat tomatoes any other way.

Ingredients

3 Green Tomatoes

1 large Egg

1/2 cup All Purpose Flour

1/4 cup Milk

1 cup Cornmeal

Or

1/2 cup cornmeal and 1/2 cup Bread Crumbs (seasoned or plain)

Salt and Pepper to taste

And seasoning is up to you I used onion powder,garlic powder and season salt as well!

Instructions

Cut the tomatoes into uniform slices (try to keep them not to thick)

Set up breading station and dip the tomatoes with flour first , then the egg and milk mixture and finally the cornmeal with the seasoning mixed in.

Then fry them until golden brown.
