I GOT MY SURGERY AND I COULD CRY! 😭

Yesterday it happened!! It FINALLY happened. I’m so happy that I could cry. But I’m waiting for those final reports and diagnosis for that to happen lol.

I got my exploratory laparoscopic surgery with excision for possible endometriosis!! This is pain (and so much more) that I have been struggling with for about 10 years now. And the fact that I finally had someone not only listen to me, but believe me, and someone who actually did something about it, means everything to me.

They took out suspicious spots/lesions that they believe to be endo. They can’t say for sure until they get the pathology report back, which should take about a week. But even just knowing they found lesions…. They FOUND SOMETHING. I’m not crazy. It’s not all in my head.

10 years. 10 years of pain with doctors dismissing me. 10 years of them “not knowing what’s wrong”. “You’re doing this to yourself”. “It’s your anxiety”. “Your labs are fine”. “Your scans are fine”. But I wasn’t fine.

Keep fighting for yourself. Keep being your own advocate. You know your body. You know your pain. Don’t let them push you around 💪🏼
