Not To Perm or To Perm ?

I’ve been natural for about a year and a half now but, my only problem is my hair is extremely thick 😭. It’s hard to deal with and I’m not sure how to handle thick hair not only that the process to wash & blow it out seems soooooo long. But to make matters worse ( for me anyways ) I’m tender headed so comb outs / blow outs are horrible my head be so sore & I be ready to cry lol I’m honestly open to any advice I can get when dealing with hair.
